The Madill boys 1600-meter relay team of JJ Sanders, Costa Chambers, Dylan Parnacher and Asa Robertson finished fourth in 3:27.06 at the Class 4A state track meet in Catoosa Saturday (May 6). Davius Sanders has also run on that relay for the Wildcats.
“Most competitive year I’ve seen!” Sanders said via his twitter account Saturday. “Extremely close race, but love my team.”
That group was the only to earn a medal for Madill at the two-day event. However, several athletes represented the Wildcats in competition at the final meet.
Dekevis Jordan competed in the boys long jump. Fatima Duenez and Daniela Hernandez ran in the girls 3200-meter run. Gracie Jaggars and Brook Erwin ran the 100-meter hurdles. The girls 3200-meter relay squad of Daisy Rosas, Jasmine Story, Duenez and Alyssa Maldonado represented the Lady Wildcats. Parnacher reached the finals in the boys 400-meter run Saturday.
